Thailand Retail Sales Highest Since 2022

Retail sales in Thailand surged by 31.9% year-on-year in March 2025, following a six-month high and an upwardly revised 25.2% gain in the previous month.

This marked the strongest growth in retail activity since August 2022, primarily driven by higher sales of durable goods (1.9% vs 0.8%).

Meanwhile, sales of non-durable goods moderated (2.9% vs 3.6%).

On a monthly basis, retail trade rose by 12.3% in March 2025, from 9.5% in the preceding month.
