Thailand's industrial production fell 1.54% year-on-year in May 2024, reversing from a 3.43% drop in the previous month, albeit worse than market estimates of 1.35% fall.
The decline in industrial output was mainly due to lower car production and higher energy costs.
Considering January to May 2024, the country's industrial output dropped 2.08% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
