Philippines Exports Rise for 2nd Month

Exports from the Philippines rose by 3.9% year-on-year to USD 6.3 billion in February 2025, following a 6.3% increase in the previous month.
This marked the second consecutive month of growth, mainly driven by higher sales for coconut oil (111.8%), other manufactured goods (34.6%), and electronic products (2.5%), particularly medical/industrial instrumentation (95.2%) and office equipment (94.1%).
Among top trading partners, shipments mostly rose to the Netherlands (34.6%), followed by Germany (28.6%), Malaysia (16.2%), Hong Kong (12.7%), and Japan (11.6%).
Considering January to February, exports advanced by 5.1% to USD 12.6 billion from the same period last year.
