Oman's annual inflation rate eased to 2.8% in June 2026, the lowest level in four months, down from 3.8% in May.
The slowdown was primarily driven by a further decline in housing and utility costs (-0.6% vs. -0.3% in May), alongside slower price growth for food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.1% vs 6.7%), transport (5.5% vs 9.2%) and recreation and culture (0.3% vs 0.4%).
Meanwhile, inflation stood for furnishings (3.1%), restaurants and hotels (4.6%), education (2.2%) and health (1.8%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.6% in June, marking the first decline in six months and reversing a 0.5% increase recorded in the previous month.
