Namibia Inflation Rate Unchanged at 3%

Namibia's annual inflation rate held steady at 3% in November 2024, unchanged from October.

Further Decline in transportation prices (-3.5% vs -2.9% in October) and a slower rise in furnishings and household equipment costs (2.5% vs 2.6%) offset sharper price increases in several categories.

These included clothing and footwear (2.7% vs 2.3%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.3% vs 5.1%), recreation and culture (5.5% vs 4.7%), and restaurants and hotels (5.6% vs 5.4%).

Housing and utilities maintained a steady inflation rate of 4.4%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.3% in November, slightly easing from a 0.4% increase in the previous month.
