Morocco Inflation Rate at 1.90 percent  
Consumer prices in Morocco increased 1.9 percent year-on-year in December of 2017, following a 1.3 percent rise in the previous month. It was the highest inflation rate since November of 2016, as prices advanced faster for food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.7 percent compared to 1.3 percent in November). Meantime, cost rose at a slower pace for: transport (1.3 percent compared to 1.5 percent) and clothing and footwear (1.5 percent compared to 1.7 percent). In addition, inflation was steady for: housing and utilities (1.2 percent, the same as in November); furniture and household equipment (0.5 percent); recreation and culture (0.2 percent); health (0.9 percent); communication (a flat reading) and miscellaneous goods and services (1.0 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.5 percent, after a 0.4 percent increase in the prior month.
