Kosovo Inflation Rate Speeds Up to 2-1/2-Year High of 5.1%

The annual inflation rate in Kosovo quickened for the third month to 5.1% in October 2025, the steepest since April 2023, up from 4.7% in the prior month.

Main upward pressure came from prices of housing & utilities (9.8% vs 6% in September); restaurants & hotels (8.7% vs 8.1%); food & non-alcoholic beverages (8% vs 8.2%); health (7% vs 5.3%) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (5.3% vs 3.8%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.6%, after a 0.2% fall in the prior month.

Kosovo Annual Inflation Holds at 5.3% in December
The annual inflation rate in Kosovo remained steady at 5.3% in December 2025, marking the fastest pace since April 2023 and unchanged from November. Faster price growth in alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6.2% vs 5.7% in November), clothing and footwear (3.5% vs 2.6%), housing and utilities (10.7% vs 8.8%), and recreation and culture (1.0% vs 0.9%) was partly offset by softer increases in food and non-alcoholic beverages (8.6% vs 8.7%), furniture, household appliances and routine maintenance (2.4% vs 2.9%), health (6.3% vs 7.0%), and transport (0.3% vs 1.5%). Price growth remained stable in education (3.8%), restaurants and hotels (8.5%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.7% in December, following a 0.4% increase in November.

The annual inflation rate in Kosovo quickened to 5.3% in November 2025, the fastest pace since April 2023, up from 5.1% in the previous month. The acceleration was driven by stronger increases in food and non-alcoholic beverages (8.7% vs 8.0% in October), transport (1.5% vs 1.1%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.7% vs 5.3%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.4% vs 2.8%). These gains were partly offset by softer inflation in furniture, household appliances and routine maintenance (2.9% vs 3.1%), housing and utilities (8.8% vs 9.8%), recreation and culture (0.9% vs 1.9%), and restaurants and hotels (8.5% vs 8.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4% in November, easing from a 0.6% in October.
