Jordan Inflation Rate at 9-Month Low of 1.32%

The annual inflation rate in Jordan slowed for the second straight month to 1.32% in August 2025, down from 1.68% in July.
This marked the lowest inflation rate since last November, mainly due to a fall in prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which recorded their first decline in 10 months (-0.36% vs. 1.71% in July).
Prices also moderated for other goods and services (2.33% vs. 2.52%).
Meanwhile, inflation remained steady for health (0.71%), clothing and footwear (1.57%), restaurant & hotels (at 1.70%), and education (1.84%).
Prices accelerated for housing (2.49% vs 2.41%), communication (2.60% vs 2.31%), household furnishing & equipment (0.65% vs 0.37%), and alcohol and tobacco (12.41% vs 5.08%), while transportation prices were unchanged (0.00% vs -0.90%).
On the other hand, prices for recreation and culture continued to decline (-1.00% vs -1.58%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.21% in August, the second monthly decline, following a 0.10% fall in July.
