Iran Inflation Rate at 18.00 percent  
The annual inflation rate in Iran jumped to a near 4-1/2-year high of 18 percent in July of 2018 from 13.7 percent in the previous month. Main upward pressure came from: housing and utilities (10.9 percent vs 10.1 percent in June); food and beverages (25 percent vs 16.8 percent); transport (23.1 percent vs 17.6 percent); furnishings and household equipment (23.1 percent vs 16.4 percent); clothing and footwear (13.9 percent vs 9.8 percent), and health (13.3 percent vs 10.9 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices climbed 3.4 percent in July, after a 4.3 percent jump in June.
