Georgia’s economic activity expanded by 6.3% year-on-year in June 2025, slowing from a 7.5% rise in the previous month.

This marked the weakest growth in economic activity since January last year, mainly due to weak performances in construction and energy sectors.

Meanwhile, economic growth was supported significantly by positive performances across several key sectors, including information and communication, manufacturing, financial and insurance activities, transportation and storage, and trade.

Considering the January to June period, economic activity grew by 8.3% compared to the same period a year ago.

Net trade supported growth so far this year, as exports surged by 13.7%, while imports rose at a more moderate pace of 12.4%.
