The annual inflation rate in Bangladesh eased to 8.48% in June 2025, down from 9.05% in May.

This marked the lowest reading since July 2022, driven by a slowdown in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices, which saw their smallest increase since April 2022 (7.39% vs 8.59% in May), while transport inflation also moderated (6.43% vs 6.64%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.57% in June, rebounding from a 0.32% decline in the previous month and marking the fastest monthly increase in three months.
