The annual inflation rate in Angola continued to decelerate to 10.11% in June 2026 from 10.88% in May, marking the lowest since 2015 and the 23rd consecutive month of slowdown.
The stabilization of the kwanza has been cited as the main moderating factor.
Prices slowed down for most CPI categories, including food & non-alcoholic beverages (10.73% vs 11.33% in May); housing & utilities (11.14% vs 14.32%); transportation (15.40% vs 15.73%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (8.64% vs 9.22%); clothing & footwear (6.59% vs 7.39%).
On a monthly basis, the CPI rose by 0.52% in June, little changed from the 0.53% increase recorded in May.
