International arrivals to Vietnam jumped by 3,185.8 percent year-on-year to 236.7 thousand in June of 2022, compared with a 1,274.1 percent growth in the prior month. June's strong figure came as Vietnam has fully opened up its tourism sector following further improvement in COVID-19 situation and the resumption of international flights. Visitors from Asia climbed 2,585.2 percent, namely China (292.8 percent), South Korea (3,394.1 percent), Japan (1,901.5 percent), Taiwan (1,168.7 percent), and Malaysia (13,019.5 percent). Also, visitors from America soared 11,175.5 percent, mainly the US (14,385.6 percent); while those from Europe jumped 3,841.3 percent), of which, Russia (3,292.2 percent), the UK (9,102.8 percent), France (11,371.1 percent), and Germany (11,250 percent); and visitors from Australia climbed 20,982.8 percent.
