Ukraine's gross domestic product expanded 2.4 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, easing from a 5.7 percent growth in the previous period and below market expectations of a 4.4 percent advance, a preliminary estimate showed. Still, it was the second expansion in a row, ending a year of contraction. Growth was capped by pandemic-induced lockdowns, lower rate of vaccinations, smaller production owing to elevated energy costs and tight monetary policy of the central government. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy advanced 1.4 percent compared to a 0.7 percent contraction in the previous quarter. source: State Statistics Service Of Ukraine
