Industrial production in Spain rose by 2.4 percent from a year earlier in April of 2022, following a revised flat reading in the previous month and better than market expectations of a 0.2 percent fall. Output advanced much faster for energy (4.6 percent vs 2.8 percent in March) and consumer goods (6.2 percent vs 1.4 percent), while it rebounded for capital goods (2.1 percent vs -1.6 percent). At the same time, production fell at a softer pace for capital goods (-0.2 percent vs -4.9 percent).
