Slovenia Jobless Rate at 6.9%
Slovenia’s unemployment rate was at 6.9 percent in January of 2022, the highest since August of 2020 but down from 9.4 percent in the same month of the previous year. The number of unemployed individuals in January decreased by 23.6 thousand compared to that of the previous year to 67.8 thousand, the lowest since December of 2008. At the same time, employment rose by 27.7 thousand to 909.5 thousand. In December, the jobless rate was at 6.7 percent.

Slovenia’s unemployment rate fell to 6.7 percent in December of 2021, the lowest since November of 2008 and down from 8.9 percent in the same month of the previous year. The number of unemployed declined by 21,314 on year to 65,969 while the number of employed rose by 25,538 to 916,765. In November, the jobless rate was also 6.7 percent.
