Industrial production in Saudi Arabia increased 24% year-on-year in May of 2022, slowing from an April's record high of 26.7%, as mining and quarrying grew softer (23.3% vs 28.3%). Meanwhile, production expanded more for manufacturing (28.8% vs 25.1% in April) as international trade recovered, while that of electricity and gas supplies rebounded (3% vs -2%). Compared to the previous month, industrial production climbed 1.2%, accelerating from a 0.5% rise in April.
