Real wages in Russia increased 1.5 percent year-on-year in August of 2021, easing from a 2.2 percent gain in July and missing market expectations of 3.5 percent. It was the lowest rise in wages since January, as average nominal wages climbed 8.3 percent to RUB 52,355 while inflation advanced 6.7 percent.
