Industrial production in Romania fell by 3.7 percent year-on-year in June of 2022, reversing from a downwardly revised 0.5 percent gain a month earlier. It was the fourth decline in industrial production in the past six months, as production of manufacturing fell (-3.3% vs 1.0%), amid a faster decline in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-9.0% vs -3.7%). Also, mining and quarrying continued to drop (-5.0% vs -7.2%). On a monthly basis, industrial output contracted 3.9 percent in June, after an upwardly revised 0.7 percent decrease in the previous month.
