Manufacturing sales in New Zealand advanced 1.2 percent from a year earlier in the third quarter of 2021, rebounding from an upwardly revised 6.4 percent decrease in the previous period. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, total manufacturing sales went up by 12 percent. The largest industry movements were metal (25.8 percent), petroleum and coal products (17.1 percent), and beverage and tobacco (15.8 percent).
