Producer prices in Moldova climbed by 18 percent year-on-year in January of 2022. It was the steepest producer inflation since December of 2000, as prices accelerated in all categories: electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (105.2 percent vs 63.8 percent in December), manufacturing (12.6 percent vs 12.5 percent) and mining (12.8 percent vs 8.4 percent).
