Visitor arrivals in Macau decreased by 43.6 percent year-on-year to 328,245 in October of 2021, after a 40.1 percent surge in the previous month on account of the tightening of cross-boundary measures between Zhuhai and Macao. Same day visitors fell by 20.8 percent to 216,829 and overnight visitors dropped by 63.9 percent to 111,416. In terms of source of visitors, visitors from Chins slid by 44.2 percent to 300,996 including 64,097 of them travelling under the individual visit scheme. Also, visitors fell from Hong Kong by 35.6 percent to 24,403 while those from Taiwan went down by 38.6 percent to 2809.
