Luxembourg Producer Inflation Eases in February
Luxembourg’s producer prices rose 25 percent year-on-year in February of 2022, easing from an upwardly revised 26 percent in the previous month. Prices rose at a slower pace for intermediate goods (38.6 percent vs 41.3 percent in January) and consumer goods (4.8 percent vs 4.5 percent), while prices accelerated for energy (17.5 percent vs 17 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 2.9 percent, picking up from the upwardly revised 1.8 percent rise in January.

Luxembourg Producer Inflation Eases in January
Luxembourg’s producer prices rose 24.4 percent year-on-year in January of 2022, easing from an upwardly revised 26.4 percent rise in the previous month. Prices eased for energy (8.1 percent vs 11.7 percent in December) and equipment goods (1.3 percent vs 1.9 percent). Meanwhile, prices accelerated for intermediate goods (42.8 percent vs 40.5 percent) and consumer goods (6 percent vs 3.3 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.5 percent, edging down from a downwardly revised 0.6 percent rise in December.

Luxembourg Producer Inflation at 4 Decade High
Luxembourg’s producer prices jumped 23.9 percent year-on-year in November of 2021 from an upwardly revised 21.6 percent rise in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation recorded since April of 1982, amid upward pressure from intermediate goods (39 percent vs 35.4 percent in October), energy (11.7 percent vs 10.6 percent), consumer goods (4.6 percent vs 3.1 percent), and equipment goods (0.9 percent vs 0.7 percent. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 1 percent in November, picking up from a 0.7 percent increase in October.
