Luxembourg’s annual inflation rate rose to a fresh all-time high of 7.0 percent in April of 2022, quickening from 6.1 percent in the previous month, underpinned by faster increases in prices of housing & utilities (12.7 percent vs 12.0 percent in March); transports (11.5 percent vs 10.8 percent); and miscellaneous goods & services (5.3 percent vs 4.9 percent). Luxembourg’s annual inflation rate climbed 6.1 percent in March of 2022, easing from a record high of 6.6 percent in the previous month. Prices eased for furnishings and household maintenance equipment (4.1 percent vs 5.3 percent in February) and clothing & footwear (1.8 percent vs 20.6 percent). On the other hand, prices advanced faster for transport (10.8 percent vs 8.6 percent), miscellaneous goods and services (4.9 percent vs 4.7 percent), housing & utilities (12 percent vs 11.3 percent) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.9 percent vs 3.4 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 1.0 percent, following a 2.2 percent increase in the previous month.
