It was the lowest jobless rate since fourth quarter of 2019 as the number of unemployed declined by 1.4 thousand to 66.5 thousand. Meanwhile the number of employed persons decreased by 12.7 thousand to 864.2 thousand. In Q4, 35.4 thousand unemployed persons were out of work for up to 5 months and 9.4 thousand were unemployed for 6-11 months. Additionally, the number of inactive people fell by 11.7 thousand to 446.9 thousand. A year earlier, the unemployment rate was higher at 7.2 percent.
