Latvia’s unemployment rate eased to 7.2 percent in the third quarter of 2021 from 7.9 percent in the previous quarter, as the number of unemployed declined by 5.5 thousand to 67.9 thousand while employment rose by 15 thousand to 877 thousand. In Q3, 33.6 thousand unemployed persons were out of work for up to 5 months and 11.3 thousand were unemployed for 6-11 months.
