Hungary Trade Balance Swings to Deficit in April
Hungary recorded a trade deficit of EUR 475 million in April of 2022, below market expectations of a EUR 550 million gap and compared to a EUR 338 million surplus in the corresponding month of the previous year, preliminary estimates showed. Exports increased 12.1 percent from a year earlier to EUR 11,052 million while imports advanced at a faster 21.1 percent to EUR 11,527 million.

Hungary Trade Balance Swings to Deficit in March
Hungary recorded a trade deficit of EUR 503 million in March of 2022, below market expectations of a EUR 225 million gap and compared to a EUR 117 million surplus in the corresponding month of the previous year, preliminary estimates showed. Exports increased 8.7 percent from a year earlier to EUR 12,120 million while imports advanced at a faster 23 percent to EUR 12,623 million.

Hungary recorded a trade deficit of EUR 91 million in February of 2022, below market expectations of a EUR 300 million gap and compared to a EUR 785 million surplus in the corresponding month of the previous year, preliminary estimates showed. Exports surged 17.7 percent from a year earlier to EUR 11,430 million while imports advanced at a faster 29.2 percent to EUR 11,494 million.
