The S&P Global France Services PMI decreased to 54.4 in June of 2022, from 58.3 in May and well below market expectations of 57.6, a flash estimate showed. The latest reading pointed to the weakest pace of growth in the services sector since the Omicron disruption was at its peak in January. Both output and new orders continued to rise but at a slower pace, amid weaker demand due to growing uncertainty and deteriorating economic conditions. Meanwhile, service companies continued to increase staffing levels to tackle sustained capacity pressures. On the price front, an intense inflationary environment persisted, although inflation rates cooled slightly since May. source: Markit Economics
