Industrial production in Finland expanded by 7.3 percent year-on-year in April 2022, following a downwardly revised 2.2 percent gain in the previous month. The latest reading was the 13th straight month of increase in industrial production and the strongest growth since last December, due to faster rises in output of manufacturing (8% vs 3.6%), amid rebounds in output electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (2.9% vs -4.6%). Meanwhile, production of mining and quarrying continued to fall (-5.0% vs -1.0% in March).
