Current account deficit in Finland surged to EUR 2,286 million in April 2022 from EUR 614 million in the same month a year ago, pointing to the fourth straight month of gap and representing the largest figure since April 2019. The deficit of primary income climbed sharply to EUR 1,519 million from EUR 249 million a year earlier while that of services account widened to EUR 389 million from EUR 273 million a year. At the same time, the goods account turned to a gap of EUR 183 million from a surplus of EUR 141 million in the year before.
