Industrial production in Cyprus advanced 6.9 percent year-on-year in March of 2022, following an upwardly revised 3.7 percent rise in the previous month. It was the highest gain in industrial output since August last year, boosted by increased production in manufacturing (2.2 percent vs 1.2 percent in February); and electricity supply (27.5 percent vs 12.6 percent). Meanwhile, production slowed for water supply and materials recovery (19.5 percent vs 22.6 percent ) while continued to decline for mining and quarrying (-7.8 percent vs -3.1 percent ).
