It was the smallest increase in industrial activity since a contraction observed in February of 2021 (-5.4%). Output plunged for mining (-13.1 percent vs -7.8 percent in March) while growth decelerated markedly for manufacturing (0.2 percent vs 1.8 percent in March) and electricity supply (1 percent vs 27.5 percent).
