Industrial production in Croatia increased 4.0 percent year-on-year in February of 2022, quickening from a 3.5 percent rise in the previous month. Main upward pressure came from electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (3.6 percent vs 0.8 percent in January), while growth manufacturing output eased slightly (4.2 percent vs 4.4 percent). Conversely, output from mining and quarrying activities fell at a stronger pace (-1.3 percent vs -0.4 percent). On a monthly basis, industrial production went up 2.6 percent, rebounding from a 0.6 percent drop in the previous month.

Croatia Industrial Output Growth Slows in January
Industrial production growth in Croatia slowed to 3.5 percent year-on-year in January of 2022, from a six-month high of 6 percent in the previous month. Output grew at a softer pace for both manufacturing (4.4 percent vs 7.3 percent in December) and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (0.8 percent vs 3.3 percent). Additionally, production decreased for mining & quarrying (-0.4 percent vs 2.9 percent). On a monthly basis, industrial production went down 0.6 percent, following a 2.1 percent rise in the previous month.
