Industrial production in Croatia advanced 2.8 percent year-on-year in September of 2021, slowing markedly from a 5.2 percent hike in the previous month. Momentum faded mostly in manufacturing (2.5 percent vs 6.3 percent in August) and for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (0.1 percent vs 2.9 percent). On the other hand, production rebounded sharply in mining and quarrying (11.9 percent vs -4.6 percent). On a seasonally and working-day adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 1.2 percent in September, more than offsetting a 0.7 percent increase in August.

Croatia Industrial Output Rebounds in August
Industrial production in Croatia rebounded to 5.2 percent year-on-year in August of 2021 from 3.9 percent in the previous month. Output accelerated for manufacturing (6.3 percent vs 3.3 percent in July) and declined slower for mining and quarrying (-4.6 percent vs -6.3 percent). On the other hand, output slowed for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (2.9 percent vs 8.2 percent). On a monthly basis, industrial production grew 0.7 percent in August from a 1 percent decrease in July, while year to date, industry grew 8.3 percent over the corresponding period in the previous year.
