Canada Wholesale Sales Revised to Show Decline
Wholesale sales in Canada dropped 0.5 percent month-over-month to C$ 79.8 billion in April of 2022, well below preliminary estimates of a 0.2 percent increase and compared to an upwardly revised 0.6 percent growth in March. The decline was underpinned by lower sales of miscellaneous merchant goods (-3.4 percent) and building materials and supplies (-1.4 percent).
