It was a fresh record high in producer prices since available records in 2001, as prices rose for mining & quarrying (14.3 percent vs 7.2 percent in September); manufacturing (17.4 percent vs 14.5 percent); and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (47 percent vs 39.5 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up by 3.8 percent, following a 2.4 percent in September.

Bulgaria Producer Prices Rise the Most Since 2001
Producer prices in Bulgaria surged 20 percent YoY in September of 2021, accelerating from a 17.9 percent increase in the previous month. It was the highest gain in producer prices since available records in 2001, as prices rose for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (39.5 percent vs 31.1 percent in August); and manufacturing (14.5 percent vs 13.9 percent). Meanwhile, producer prices went up at a softer pace for mining (7.2 percent vs 7.2 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 2.4 percent, slowing from a 3 percent rise in the prior month.
