Construction output in Bulgaria rose 1 percent over a year earlier in September of 2021, easing from a downwardly revised 1.7 percent increase in the previous month as civil engineering works increased at a softer pace (1.7 percent vs 4.3 percent in August). Meantime, building activity rebounded (0.5 percent vs -0.4 percent).On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output stalled.

Bulgaria Construction Output Rises at a Softer Pace in May
Construction output in Bulgaria rose 4.6 percent over a year earlier in May of 2021, after a 15.5 percent in April which was the highest climb in construction activity since January of 2018. Both building activity (1.5 percent vs 12.0 percent in April) and civil engineering works (8.8 percent vs 20.3 percent) increased at a softer pace. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output fell 2.4 percent, followed by a 0.1 percent downtick in the prior month.
