Producer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose at a new all-time high of 16.0 percent year-on-year in March of 2022, accelerating from a 11.8 percent increase in the previous month. The steepest price increases were seen in intermediate goods (18.4 percent), followed by energy (17.8 percent), capital goods (11.5 percent), non-durable consumer goods (10.2 percent) and lastly, durable consumer goods (9.2 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 2.7 percent, slowing from a 2.9 percent advance in February.

Producer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina surged 11.8 percent from a year earlier in February of 2022, accelerating from a 10.6 percent rise in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation since comparable records began in 2007. Intermediate goods prices jumped 13.8 percent, followed by energy (12.1 percent), capital goods (12.1 percent), durable consumer goods (9.3 percent) and non-durable consumer goods (8.7 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 2.9 percent, following a 2.1 percent increase in January.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Producer Inflation at Over 13-Year High
Producer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina jumped by 10.6 percent from a year earlier in January of 2022, following a 8.5 percent rise in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation rate since August of 2008, driven by higher inflation in manufacturing (13.5 percent vs 12 percent in December); mining and quarrying (6.1 percent vs 0.2 percent); and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (4.7 percent vs 1.9 percent). Meanwhile, producer prices went up by 2.1 percent, following a 1 percent rise in the previous month.
