Belgium’s producer price inflation edged down to 40.5 percent year-on-year in May of 2022, from a record peak of 40.6 percent in the previous month as prices eased slightly both at domestic (52.6 percent vs 52.7 percent in April) and foreign markets (24.2 percent vs 24.3 percent). Belgium’s producer price inflation rose to a fresh all-time high of 39.4 percent year-on-year in March of 2022, following a 36.1 percent jump the previous month. Prices rose at a faster pace for both the domestic (50.5 percent vs 46.5 percent in February) and the foreign (24.2 percent vs 21.8 percent) markets. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 3.9 percent after a 1.1 percent advance in February.
