Consumers’ pessimism significantly eased after dipping to an all-time low (-38 vs -47 in March), while improvements were also seen for households’ financial situation (-10 vs -14) and savings (8 vs 7). On the other hand, labor market prospects significantly worsened with respondents showing expectations of higher unemployment (15 vs 8).
