Armenia Inflation Rate Rises to 7.4%
Annual inflation rate in Armenia increased to 7.4% in March of 2022 from 6.5% in February, with biggest price increases coming from food and non-alcoholic beverages (12.8%) and recreation and culture (12%). Cost of housing and utilities was up 4.9% and transport 3.8%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 1.8%.

Armenia February Inflation Rate at 8-Month Low
Armenia’s annual inflation rate eased for the third straight month to 6.5 percent in February of 2022, from 7.1 percent in the previous month. It was the softest inflation rate since last June, mainly helped by a slowdown in prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (11.4 percent vs 12.2 percent in January); clothing & footwear (9.3 percent vs 10.8 percent); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (7.7 percent vs 8.9 percent) and furnishings (4.9 percent vs 6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.1 percent, following a 1.6 percent increase in the previous month.
