The unemployment rate in Argentina dropped to 10.2 percent in the first quarter of 2021 from 11.0 percent in the previous period, declining for the third consecutive quarter to levels not seen since the last quarter of 2019. The number of unemployed fell by 63 thousand to 1,355 thousand while employment increased by 458 thousand to 11,982. A year ago, the jobless rate stood at 10.4 percent.
