THE CURRENT ACCOUNT BALANCE IN PERCENT OF GDP IN THE UNITED STATES WAS REPORTED AT -2.93 PERCENT OF GDP IN 2009, ACCORDING TO THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND (IMF). IN 2015, THE UNITED STATES'S CURRENT ACCOUNT BALANCE IN PERCENT OF GDP IS EXPECTED TO BE -3.50 PERCENT OF GDP. CURRENT ACCOUNT IS ALL TRANSACTIONS OTHER THAN THOSE IN FINANCIAL AND CAPITAL ITEMS. IN 2009, THE UNITED STATES' ECONOMY SHARE OF WORLD TOTAL GDP, ADJUSTED BY PURCHASING POWER PARITY, WAS 20.46 PERCENT. IN 2015, THE UNITED STATES'S SHARE OF WORLD TOTAL GDP IS FORECASTED TO BE 18.28 PERCENT.
