Qatar Exports at 18766.00 QAR Million


Exports from Qatar jumped 105 percent year-on-year to 18.8 billion riyals in April 2017, boosted by sales of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons (33.2 percent) and petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (75.7 percent). Sales went up to South Korea (15.2 percent); India (39.5 percent); China (79.2 percent), and Singapore (80.4 percent).

Imports to Qatar decreased 12.5 percent year-on-year to 8.9 billion riyals in April of 2017, as purchases fell for motor cars and other motor vehicles (-16.6 percent), and other groups of commodities (-11.4 percent) Imports declined from the US (-7.9 percent); China (-18.3), and Germany (-64.5 percent).

Qatar trade surplus jumped 105 percent year-on-year to 9.8 billion riyals in April of 2017 from 4.8 billion riyals a year ago. Exports surged 25.1 percent to 18.8 billion riyals, boosted by sales of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons (33.2 percent) and petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (75.7 percent). Sales went up to South Korea (15.2 percent); India (39.5 percent); China (79.2 percent), and Singapore (80.4 percent). Imports declined 12.5 percent to 8.9 billion riyals as purchases fell for motor cars and other motor vehicles (-16.6 percent), and other groups of commodities (-11.4 percent). Qatar | Credit Rating at 87.42


Moody's downgraded on May 26th Qatar's rating to Aa3 from Aa2 and changed the credit outlook to stable from negative, citing weakening of the country’s external position and uncertainty over the sustainability of the growth model beyond the next few years. Standard & Poor's credit rating for Qatar stands at AA with negative outlook. Fitch's credit rating for Qatar was last reported at AA with stable outlook.
