Lithuania Producer Prices Change at 3.90 percent


Lithuania's annual producer inflation fell to 3.9 percent in November 2018 from an upwardly revised 9.2 percent jump in the prior month. It is the lowest producer inflation since April. Prices rose less for mining & quarrying (5.7 percent vs 10.8 percent in October), manufacturing (3.7 percent vs 9.3 percent) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (6.6 percent vs 7.1 percent). In addition, cost dropped for water supply, sewage treatment, waste management (-0.3 percent vs -0.7 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased 3 percent, following an upwardly revised 0.5 percent gain in October.

The annual inflation rate in Lithuania decreased to 2.5 percent in November 2018 from 2.9 percent in the prior month. Prices slowed for transport (6.2 percent vs 9.3 percent in October) and dropped for food & non-alcoholic beverages (-0.1 percent vs 0.2 percent). On the other hand, inflation quickened for housing & utilities (6.0 percent vs 5.7 percent); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (2.9 percent vs 2.8 percent) and miscellaneous goods & services (2.3 percent vs 1.9 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down 0.1 percent, after a 0.6 percent increase in the previous month.
