Lithuania Industrial Production at 11.50 percent
Industrial production in Lithuania increased 11.5 percent year-on-year in March 2018, following a 2.1 percent rise in the previous month. It was the biggest gain in industrial activity since August 2017, as output rose faster for manufacturing (10.1 percent from 1.9 percent in February); electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (26.3 percent from 5 percent) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (4.5 percent from 2 percent). Additionally, output declined at a softer pace for mining and quarrying (-12.9 percent from -23.9 percent). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose 2 percent, after an upwardly revised 4 percent decline in February.
