Estonia Producer Prices Change at 2.70 percent
Estonian producer price inflation eased to an 11-month low of 2.7 percent year-on-year in December 2017 from 3.3 percent in the previous month, as cost rose at a slower pace for both manufacturing (3.2 percent from 4.5 percent in November) and mining and quarrying (4 percent from 4.4 percent). Meantime, inflation picked up for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services (0.5 percent from 0.4 percent) while cost of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply continued to fall (-4.5 percent from -9.9 percent). On a monthly basis, prices went down 0.6 percent, compared to a 0.3 percent gain in November. Considering 2017 as a whole, the producer price index rose 3.6 percent, compared to a 0.7 percent drop in 2016.
