Estonia Producer Prices Change at 2.90 percent


Estonian producer prices rose 2.9 percent year-on-year in March 2018, accelerating from a 2.7 percent gain in the previous month. Cost went up at a faster pace for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (26.8 percent vs 15 percent in February) while producer inflation was steady for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation (at 0.8 percent). In addition, cost of mining and quarrying fell less than a month earlier (-4.1 percent from -4.9 percent). On the other hand, cost increased at a softer pace for manufacturing (1.5 percent vs 2 percent in February). On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up by 0.2 percent, after a 0.8 percent fall in February.
