Estonia Producer Prices Change at 3.40 percent
Estonian producer prices increased by 3.4 percent year-on-year in August 2018, after a 3.2 percent advance in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation since January, driven by a faster rise in cost of manufacturing (1.3 percent vs 1.1 percent in July).In addition, prices of mining and quarrying fell at a softer pace (-2.6 percent vs -3.4 percent). Meantime, producer inflation was steady for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation (at 0.5 percent) and cost of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply slowed (32.6 percent vs 34.2 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 1 percent, following a 0.7 percent gain in July.
