Retail sales in Denmark increased by 1.7 percent year-on-year in September 2017, following an upwardly revised 0.4 percent gain in the previous month, as sales went up at a faster pace for clothing and footwear (9.7 percent from 0.7 percent in August) and other consumer goods (4.4 percent from 2.6 percent). Meanwhile, sales of food products continued to fall (-2.6 percent from -2 percent). On a monthly basis, retail sales jumped by 0.8 percent, after three consecutive months of decline.
