Russia Unemployment Rate Slightly Falls in November


In November of 2013, Russian jobless rate decreased for the first time in four months to 5.4 percent, from 5.5 percent in October. The number of unemployed people remained unchanged at 4.1 million.

There were 0.9 million people officially registered as unemployed and 0.7 million were receiving unemployment benefits. 

The economically active population slightly decreased in November to 75.5 million people, accounting for around 53 percent of the total population of the country. In October, the economically active population reached 75.7 million.
