Brazil Unemployment Rate Declined to 7.5%


Brazil's unemployment rate fell to the second-lowest level in seven years in October, national statistics agency said today.

Joblessness in Brazil's six largest metropolitan areas fell to 7.5 percent in October from September, matching the median forecast in a Bloomberg survey of 22 economists. The country's unemployment rate fell to 7.4 percent in December 2007, the lowest since at least September 2001.
