Japan Jobless Rate Falls to 3.3% in July


The jobless rate in Japan was recorded at 3.3 percent in July of 2015, down from 3.4 percent in June and also lower than 3.8 percent a year earlier.

The number of employed persons in July 2015 was 63.81 million, an increase of 0.4 percent from the previous year while the number of unemployed persons fell 10.5 percent to 2.22 million. 

The labour force remained flat from a year earlier and population aged 15 and over decreased 0.1 percent to 110.76 million.

The jobs-to-applicants ratio was 1.21 percent, after registering 1.19 percent in June.
