Dutch Unemployment Rate Falls Further in July


Netherlands’ seasonally adjusted jobless rate decreased for the third consecutive time to 8.2 percent in July from 8.4 percent in June.

There were 645 thousand unemployed people in July, down from 657 thousand in June and 694 thousand a year earlier. 

In July, the number of unemployment benefits increased by 6 thousand from June to 437 thousand, as more people working in the education sector lost their jobs. 

Meanwhile, the labor force shrank by 100 thousand over the last year, as more people withdrew from the workforce.
