Mexico Unemployment Rate Falls to 4.8%


Mexican jobless rate decreased to 4.8 percent in June of 2014 from 4.92 percent in the previous month. Upon seasonal adjustment, the unemployment rate fell to 4.84 percent.

95.2 percent of the economically active population was employed in June and the labour force reached 58.45 percent.

Among regions, Federal District recorded the highest jobless rate (6.9 percent), followed by Tabasco (6.63 percent) and Estado de Mexico (6.53 percent), while Guerrero recorded the lowest one (1.5 percent).
