Mexico Unemployment Rate Steady in April


Mexican jobless rate was recorded at 4.84 percent in April of 2014, almost unchanged from 4.8 percent in the previous month. Upon seasonal adjustment, the unemployment rate fell to 4.89 percent.

95.16 percent of the economically active population was employed in April and the labour force reached 58.5 percent.

Among regions, Federal District recorded the highest jobless rate (6.5 percent), followed by Estado de Mexico (6.24 percent) and Coahuila de Zaragoza (6.23 percent), while Guerrero recorded the lowest one (1.69 percent).
